Privacy and Usage Policy

The following Policy applies to the PAN Discovery browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Opera; unless provided directly from its creator.

It should be read carefully before obtaining the software. By obtaining, using this extension, you agree to this Privacy and Usage Policy.

Privacy

This extension processes the content of the web responses in the users’ browser.

Processing of Personal Data is limited to the web browser in use for the web pages being viewed by the user. No data has been caused by the Creators to be sent to any other party, including Sure QC, in the provision of the standard service.

Though unlikely, the Application Stores have the technical ability to alter the content, function and operation of the extension and their Policies will apply and should be agreed to. Directly provided versions are available for a fee which bypasses this intermediary.

Where an Organisation has commissioned a specific version, a separate Policy will be provided to the purchasing Organisation and this shall supersede this Policy.

Usage

The creators believe this is a useful tool as part of a multi-tiered and risk focussed effective security position, particularly for larger corporates.

However, no warranty for the fitness of this software for any purpose, including without limitation the suitability of this software to identify PANs; prevention of them being visible to a user; nor the appropriateness or usefulness of this software to meet PCI DSS obligations.

The collective work is copyright (c) 2019, Sure QC.

No right to view the source code within the application is granted. Should this be attempted, the individual performing this and each and all Organisations that requested it all individually agree to pay the copyright holder the higher sum of either 100,000 EUR or 10% of global annual (pre-tax) profit; plus 10% per month. An exception to this is made for the Application Stores to which this software is submitted by the copyright holder for the purposes of validation of the application to their published standards.

Code review and assertion of the security of the extensions is also available. This is from a reputable and independent application testing organisation. Please contact us for pricing.

Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be altered at any time and apply upon change. It is the users’ responsibility to ensure that they are in agreement with the latest version.

If we change this Policy, we will update the modification date to make this clear. This policy was last modified on 17th February 2019.
